When chaos and persecution surround us… …as believers, remain true to the Lord.
When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. Acts 11:23 NIV
During this time of heavy persecution of the early church, believers scattered to new lands from Jerusalem. Some went to Antioch to share the good news of Jesus Christ to the Greeks. “The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.” Acts 11:21. Barnabas came to Antioch and “saw what the grace of God had done.”
Our work as believers never ends. If we can’t share the good news in one place, go to another. If one people won’t hear, share with others. In all ways, be encouraged and “remain true to the Lord with all your heart.”
Don’t be surprised or defeated that the church is being persecuted. Be bold and continue to share the good news. Be encouraged and be an encourager.
God, let me be a messenger of the grace of God.
