Strengthen Your Faith

1 Thessalonians 3:2-3 “We sent Timothy…to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials.”

Are you unsettled by these trials? We so easily lose our focus and take on the trials of the world. Trials have been around since the dawn of man. But Paul is not talking to the Thessalonians about the trials of the world, which will pass away on to a new trial in time. He is going much deeper to the trials on our faith. How is your faith right now? Mine can be a roller coaster at times – sometimes soaring high and sometimes falling-down and twisting this way and that. Paul knew the reality of trials. The church couldn’t do it alone, so he sent Timothy to encourage them in their faith. God uses man to be His voice, to come alongside and help others find hope. For them it was Timothy and Paul. For me, I stand on the Rock, the solid ground of my faith in God. I can stand firm in His Word. But I need other believers too. Family, friends, pastors, speakers.
