Make A Choice
After Paul and Silas came out of prison, they went to Lydia’s house, where they met with the brothers and sisters and encouraged them. Then they left. Acts 16:40
Paul and Silas were stripped and beaten with rods, severely flogged and thrown into prison (Acts 16:22-23). And what did they do? They were praying and singing, witnessing about Jesus to the jailer and his family and all were saved! Once released and they returned to Lydia’s house, Paul and Silas made a choice to share the wonders of God’s work through their lives. Instead of complaining about how unjustly they were treated, they chose to be a vessel of encouragement. They knew tough times were ahead for the believers in Philippi.
God, help me to be a voice of encouragement to all around me; not a voice of complaints. Let my words glorify you today.
