Filled With Wonder
Psalm 104:33-34 “I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. May my meditation be pleasing to Him, as I rejoice in the Lord.”
What fills you with wonder? A sunset in Hawaii? Crashing waves on the coastline? Holding your newborn child (grandchild)? Seeing snowflakes like floating crystals? Watching stars fill the sky and knowing you’re so close to seeing heaven? Holding your elderly parent’s hand and seeing the love in their eyes? Knowing night follows day and the earth keeps on spinning?
This is the wonder of God, the creator of all. Clouds, wind, water, birds, rain, grasses, trees, mountains, moon and sun, work, food, etc etc.
Take a moment to read all of Psalm 104 to understand the beauty of all God has created for us.
Psalm 104:1 “Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.”
And because He is the great creator, the God who loves us, we can sing. We can look around us and see His majesty, His power in our lives, His gift of life and sing praises as long as we live. Even when life is hard, I can look up and know He is smiling down on me, His creation.
God, give me your song in my heart, that I may sing my praises to you every day. May I know your splendor and majesty.
