Christ Given Strength

I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

“Pull yourself up by your bootstraps.” “Put on your big girl panties.” “Survival of the fittest.”

There are many words of strength, courage, survival and self-reliance, yet where is God in self?

Instead of planning my way to success, pulling from deep within to find courage, or facing my fears on my own, I can turn my face to God – my faithful God. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I am not alone on this journey. With God by my side, I have the strength to take another step and then another. Even in the most difficult times, I recall this promise and put my trust in God. I have a thankful heart for all the times He has been my strength and I faced the struggles with my loving Savior.

God, thank you for your strength, not mine, as I walk on this journey called life. May I be a witness of your love and strength.
