Be Still

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

Be still my heart, be still my mind, be still my body. And do what? “Know that I am God.” Oh, what a beautiful time with God that is when we are “still” and are filled with His presence. And know without a doubt that He and He alone is God. What peace we find in the midst of chaos, worry and troubled hearts and minds.

The psalm starts with…”God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” v1-2a. “Come and see what the Lord has done.”v8. This is our God and He wants us to not lose sight of who He is. So take time to be still and know He is our refuge and our strength. Know that He is God and have no fear.

Be still and listen and know I AM is God.

Blessed Lord, what a precious time to spend with you and be still. Help me to not lose sight of who you are in the midst of the chaos all around me and know you are in control. You are God.
